Paper writing and Sinan
I have a paper due on the 24th, the same day that Sinan will leave! Tomorrow he is going to Tel Aviv and I am going to work my tush off and try to get my paper finished tomorrow so we can hang out and relax the rest of the trip!!! So I probably won't post for a while, because I will be locked away writing!! =)

My girls!
I have some really great friends here, and obviously a wonderful boyfriend, who is my best friend. But today it really hit me (maybe because I am feeling better and much less sick than the past 3 weeks) how much I miss my girlfriends in the US.
I have never lived near them, except for when I lived with them (some place around the world.) But I guess in the US it's easier to call or listen to a voice message or something.
They know who they are and I love them and I hope they know that I am thinking about them and I wish we were all together again.

I love this!
This picture is of Roi when he was 12 from his Bar Mitzvah. The photographer told him to put his hand like that, I think it's adorable. All weekend I was teasing his and putting my finger on my face like that.
Finally, before his parents drove us back to Beer Sheva, Roi reenacted the scene for me!!! It's priceless!!!!!!!! =)

Islam paper
My parents are currently on an airplane back to the US. It was a wonderful visit and my dad even wants to come back!
I am currently working on a paper that is due tomorrow about the development of Islamic armies, of course I should have done the paper before my parents arrived, but that wasn't so realistic knowing my study habits, so I am doing it now. But it is the last of our three papers for the semester so I am excited to complete it, then I just have two 15 page papers to write!
I am still a bit sick, the cough just won't go away...

My dad really loved the wall, he said it reminded him an old battle field and the goosebumps you feel on such hollowed ground. He said it was peaceful and calming too. I would have to agree!

Garlic
I have been sick for a couple of days and the day after mom and dad left, I was really sick (yesterday) so I went to the doctor, (which was a fiasco and a different story.) They gave me some meds and I slept and wasted away the rest of the day drinking tea and watching movies. I got up enough energy to go to Roi's for dinner (which also meant I didn't have to cook.) He made bowtie pasta and a really good sauce...And then next to the delicious pasta was a glove of raw garlic!! Roi proceeded to tell me that Russians eat garlic when they are sick...I told Roi that I wasn't Russian...
After a little discussion, about how I didn't see the benefits and that we should Google it...I made him cut it into fours, and I shoved the pieces into a piece of bread. (The same way you would give a pill to a dog.) And I ate it. And it was disgusting as you might expect. I told him that if anyone else would have asked me to do that I would have laughed (or thrown the garlic) at them. But I ate it..if that's not love, I don't know what is.
WD-40
I'm sure somewhere in Israel they have something similar to WD-40...but I don't really have the time to search, so my dad brought me some from the states! (His luggage missed the El Al flight from Amsterdam.) When we received it yesterday, Roi was at the house and I pulled out the can. He had asked if it was just oil, and it probably is, but when I started to use it, he got really excited and wanted to spray the door hinges! After grabbing the WD-40 from my hands, Roi got to use it for the first time in his life (and most likely not the last). He did a great job. And I greatly appreciate my dad bringing it all the way from the US!
Also, in his suitcase were my favorite Donna Mae (my grandma) cookies!! Chocolate covered cherries!! (They are actually cookies, despite the name.) They were delicious and I already ate quite a few..but who's counting?
Mom and dad are on their way back from Eilat as a type and tonight we're going to Roi's sister's house for New Year's Eve!! I think my dad is excited about the Russian vodka!! =)

Paula and Joel
So yesterday was a horrible experience of getting my dad from the airport thanks to Israel closing down a train line and not providing any extra buses, but with the help of my wonderful sister, I finally met my dad at the airport!! I was so upset about being late I was crying so much when I finally got to him! It's a horrible feeling showing up to a country and the person who is suppose to be there isn't, so I really felt awful, but everything worked out!
We rented a car and GPS and drove down to Beer Sheva!! This morning, before they drove to Eilat, they took Roi and me to the grocery store! Just like when they would visit Ball State and we would go to Walmart! haha. =) My parents are the best!
